BBC Radio 4’s podcast YETI features Marisa’s original music.
I used bass and treble recorders, violas, including electric viola for the sting (theme tune), violins, drum, bells, pianos and even a Tibetan sound bow!. All acoustic sounds were played by myself and my husband, Dan Cornford (viola/violin/drums). The bass recorder was left to me by my great aunt, Diana, who was an avid Radio 4 listener. She would have been thrilled to know that it appears in a podcast! I combined acoustic sounds with electronics, to represent awe, wonder and mystery. Does the yeti exist?
